Aviary Insight started with a simple question: what birds visit when no one is watching? We built a connected feeder that answers it, one visit at a time.
Our story
Most bird feeder owners share a familiar frustration: the best visitors arrive when you are not at the window. A flash of color, a brief perch, and the bird is gone before you can reach for your phone or field guide.
Aviary Insight was created to bridge that gap. We combined a weather-ready feeder, a compact camera, and computer vision into a single device that records every visit, identifies likely species, and organizes everything into a searchable journal on your phone.
We are not building a replacement for expert ornithological judgment. We are building a tool that helps everyday observers notice more, learn faster, and keep a meaningful record of the wildlife sharing their backyard.
